Artemis Polycarpou comes from Paphos.
She graduated from the Paphos Agios Neofytos Lyceum in July 2003 with honours (20 out of 20).
Through national examinations she obtained a position at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens where she studied with scholarship and graduated in 2009 with the grade of “Very Good”.
After graduation, and through an examination process, she secured a position as a Paediatric Trainee at the Archbishop Makarios III Hospital where she specialized during 2010-2014. During her training she also worked for “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital in Athens and King’s College of London.
In 2015, through a written and oral examination process, she obtained the title of Paediatrics Specialist from the Prefecture of Thessaloniki in Greece.
She also holds a master in “Healthcare Management” from the Open University of Cyprus.
As of January of 2017 she is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
She worked as preregistration doctor at Paphos General Hospital and as a General Doctor at the Polis Chrysochous Hospital.
She is also holder of Neonatal Life Support and European Paediatric Life Support certificates.
Since 2015 she has been practising paediatrics in the private sector.
